With the conclusion of the 2017 College Entrance Examination, Anqing Foreign Language School has already played the horn for the 2018 Chinese Gaokao. The Senior Three Students have already headed for another battlefield. The scorching sun witnessed their persistence while dreams testified their promises. Students marched forward to receive victory at the crossroad in their next-stage life.
On the morning of 17th July, Principal Assistant Qian Zhihong and Director Xu Haihong in charge of Grade 12 called upon all teachers and students from Grade 12 to participate in the Mobilization Meeting designated for Grade 12 on the playground of Anqing Foreign Language School.
First of all, Director Xu Haihong made a keynote speech in which he asked all students from Grade 12 a question, here, quote, ‘Where Is Your University Today in 2018?’ The question being so simple yet thought-provoking, students at present were in silence.
Second of all, Director Xu Haihong reminded all students of several issues that needed noticing: One, time was limited yet the task was tough. We only had 330 days more or less before the 2018 College Entrance Examination, which meant that all students had to compete with several million examinees nationwide. Thus, this was a now-or-never scenario. Two, students were supposed to find their role orientation. Grade 10& 11 were already bygones. All candidates should make full use of Grade 12, make clear learning tasks as well as find their own future goals. Three, strictly observe disciplines and make joint endeavor. All teachers and students from Anqing Foreign Language School would make joint efforts together to stretch resources to the limit for the 2018 College Entrance Examination with flourishing spirit and the ‘Showing Sword’ courage.
Third of all, Principal Assistant Qian Zhihong emphasized that each and every student had their hopes and was likely to enter their dream universities. However, it was quite crucial whether each examinee could seize the twelfth grade, which meant that students should be down-to-earth and never give up.
What’s more, Principal Assistant Qian Zhihong encouraged all students that during the past few years, a great many students only scored 400 or 500 points more or less in the Senior High School Entrance Examination when they entered Anqing Foreign Language School. However, they still got admitted to key universities after three years’ striving in Anqing Foreign Language School. Therefore, today all examinees were supposed to have dreams in mind to fight for themselves, beloved family members in addition to Anqing Foreign Language School.
On the whole, though there was no loud slogan at the conference, we all had dreams in our heart. People with dreams shall never feel lonely every little step along the way.
